The field of medical engineering has advanced to one of the core programs at FAU – more than 150 professors and lecturers are active within this field at the university and have been incorporated into the institutional framework of FAU MT. All activities in this research area are combined by FAU MT to further develop the network focused on medical engineering within and beyond the university and to ensure a more transparent public image of the highly dynamic medical engineering field at FAU. FAU MT holds a close collaboration with local, national and international partners, including numerous companies in the Nuremberg Metropolitan Region in the heart of the high-tech cluster Medical Valley, providing an excellent and diversified environment for research in the field of health technology and medical engineering.
